Four Seasons Maui Makes a Splash
The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea opened its new $9-million Serenity Pool last month. It's the third and most exclusive saltwater pool at the resort, located on the new 4,100-square foot Serenity Pool Terrace alongside the southern-most oceanfront edge of the resort where guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Island of Lanai and the West Maui Mountain range.
The new Serenity Pool features an underwater music system to enhance the swimming experience and four bubble loungers within the pool for added pampering and relaxing. Two large Jacuzzi hot tubs offer the same. Six 160-foot luxury cabanas feature flat-screen HDTVs with wireless headsets, wireless and wired Internet access, ceiling fans, mini-refrigerators stocked with Evian spritz and fresh fruit, a laptop-compatible safe, comfortable couches and oversized chaise lounges.
The Infinity-edge designed pool has shimmering glass mosaic tiles and lush tropical gardens surrounding it.
Specialty drinks and signature Four Seasons cuisine are served at the walk-up bar, swim-up bar and available at all 60 poolside chaise lounges. Custom-tailored specialty massages and facials are also offered at the pool.
“We are very receptive to guest comments and feedback and have always anticipated their every need and desire. Based on their response, the Serenity Pool was born,” says Thomas Steinhauer, regional vice president and general manager of the resort.
“It has been thoughtfully designed for the sophisticated traveler searching for the utmost in comfort and relaxation, while being pampered in a rejuvenating oasis.”
The Serenity Pool is located on what used to be Seasons Lawn and is near the Fountain Pool and a short walk from beautiful Wailea Beach.
