Fisher Catching Work in Hotels
When famed American sculptor Rob Fisher died in 2006, his innovative artwork was just beginning to find a home in commercial locations like airports, offices and medical facilities. In fact several designs were underway, but not completed, leaving his clients, and family, in a difficult position.
Daughter Talley Fisher, who had just earned a master's degree in landscape architecture, became the lead artist of Rob Fisher Sculpture LLC, son Brett joined to direct the company's website and consult on design and Rob's wife, True, continued running the office with added sales duties.
Today, Team Fisher has completed and installed the majority of Rob's work and created even more original sculptures that are finding a place in hotels around the world. Rob's vision in art and architecture, often using computer visualization, continues on thanks to his family.
This magazine recently featured the One Ocean Resort and Spa in Jacksonville, FL and the Fishers' stunning “Sea Turtles” sculptures. Their work also adorns the Sands Hotel in Macau, the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, the Harbourview Suite Hotel in Hong Kong and the Fishers just returned from Shenzhen, China, where the latest piece, “Reflections,” was installed at a Ritz-Carlton,
