Bentley Prince Street's new ViVA LA is a collection of three carpet patterns designed in collaboration with Los Angeles-based artist Andrew Miripolsky. All three patterns, designed to reflect the interconnectivity and movement between family, friends and neighborhood in Los Angeles, are offered in 15 common colorways with 50 percent or greater high recycled content nylon. The collection is available certified to the new environmental industry standard as Scientific Certification Systems' (SCS) Sustainable Choice Gold/Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) under the new Sustainable Carpet Assessment Draft Standard, NSF-140.

Recyclable Carpeting

InterfaceFLOR's recycling commitment is in Black & White. Many manufacturers talk about 100-percent recyclable carpet, but “recyclable” is just a possibility. InterfaceFLOR turns this into a reality with the new B&W collection. It closes the loop by cleanly separating fiber from backing and then recycling separated type 6,6 nylon fiber to make new fiber and GlasBac, or similar competitors' backing, into new backing, making carpet from carpet. The result is a collection with bold styles that are all about creating a focal point that captures attention.

Durkan Hospitality's latest collection of carpeting, Chromistique, uses an intriguing mixture of colors and patterns that bring a fresh perspective to hospitality interiors. Available in both print and computer yarn placement (CYP) designs, the retro-designed collection reminiscent of the '60s and '70s includes three four-door runs, one medallion, 20 broadloom patterns of varying scale, three design borders and a 10×20 rug. Influenced by European color trends, it is offered in a palette of black and white with splashes of color to highlight the pattern designs.

Vinyl Flooring

Vinyl flooring gets its stripes — from the floor, up walls and across ceilings — with the introduction of the Lonzebra Collection by Lonseal. The innovative sheet vinyl solution can be adapted to a variety of environments, while protecting itself from the threat of dirt and abrasions with its embossed wood grain texture. The vertical sheets are more pliable than traditional vinyl and the striated linear pattern masks dirt and other blemishes. Durable and sustainable, the sheet vinyl is composed of more than 35 percent pre-consumer recycled content.
