Interest High in Iowa Frank Lloyd Wright Hotel
A continuous stream of what was estimated to be about 2,000 visitors waited in line September 4 to get their first glimpse of the interior of The Historic Park Inn in Mason City, Iowa. People were lined up at 9:30 a.m. for tours that were scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., said a spokesman for Wright on the Park, the not-for-profit group that owns the hotel. Completed in 1910, the Frank Lloyd Wright hotel reopened for business in August following an $18 million renovation. Grand opening activities continue throughout the week.
