IHG Promotes Two Brand Leaders
InterContinental Hotels Group has promoted two of its Americas region executives to global posts. Janis Cannon, who previously led the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand in the Americas, is now vice president, global brand management, for Hotel Indigo. Rob Radomski continues as leader of extended-stay brands Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites but now on a worldwide basis as vice president, global brand management.
Cannon oversees IHG’s boutique brand that has grown to 24 properties with more than 60 under development. Globally, Indigos are in the works for San Jose, Costa Rica, Shanghai and three more in London. North American properties in the pipeline are in Baltimore, Miami, New York City, San Diego, St. Louis and Toronto.
Radomski has grown the Staybridge brand to 150 units and Candlewood to more than 200 properties. Between the two brands, about 400 hotels are in the pipeline.
