Best Western

The membership organization added the 50-room Best Western Wheatland Inn in Colfax, WA. Colfax Lodging LLC owns the newly renovated hotel. Interstate Hotels & Resorts signed to manage the 102-room Best Western Bowery Hanbee Hotel in Lower Manhattan/Chinatown in New York City. Ben Wong owns the newly built property.

Carlson

Country Inn & Suites added locations in Wilmington, NC and Atlanta at Buckhead. The new Radisson Hotel in Freehold, NJ celebrated its grand opening last month. The 121-room hotel was acquired by an affiliate of Hotels Unlimited, Inc. earlier this year and has undergone a major renovation.

Choice

A 129-room Cambria Suites is planned for Cranberry Township, PA. Templar Development, a local company, owns the property and is looking at more opportunities in the region, Choice says.

Gaylord

Gaylord Entertainment entered into a land purchase agreement with DMB Mesa Proving Grounds LLC, an affiliate of DMB Associates, Inc., to create an anchor resort and convention hotel at the Mesa Proving Grounds in Arizona.

Hilton

Hilton Garden Inn will debut in Central America this fall with the opening of a 169-room hotel near the Liberia Airport in Costa Rica. Originally a franchise agreement, Hilton has signed a multi-year management agreement with Hoteles Aeropuerto HAL, SRL, a partnership of Enjoy Group and DWL. White Lodging and Michigan-based Etkin Equities opened a 148-room Hilton Garden Inn in Novi, MI.

The 757-room Hilton Baltimore opened in the Inner Harbor area earlier this summer. The Baltimore Hotel Corporation owns the property and Hilton manages it.

CUSA, LLC, a management company based in Atlanta, opened the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown, NY last year and is already expanding with additional meeting space. The 166-room Doubletree Hotel Rocky Mount, the brand's 10th in North Carolina, opened earlier this summer.

Homewood Suites opened five new properties in August, including two in Denver and one in Daphne, AL; San Antonio, TX; and Virginia Beach. The brand has opened 14 hotels during the second quarter and now has 242 open with another 140 in the pipeline.

InterContinental Hotels Group

IHG's first Holiday Inn Hotel in Vietnam, in the capital city of Hanoi, will be managed by MBLand (Military Bank Land). The 300-room Holiday inn Hanoi Dong Da, part of a mixed-use development, is scheduled to open in 2012.

Commonwealth Hotels, Inc. opened an 83-room Candlewood Suites in Greenwood, IN. The hotel is owned by ASMA Hospitality LLC.

Marriott International

The 134-room Residence Inn in Beaumont, TX owned by Western International opened in August and will be managed by Texas Western Management Partners. The 162-room Residence Inn in Oxon Hill, Prince Georges County, MD, owned by Integrated Capital, LLC, also opened in August.

The Raleigh Marriott City Center in North Carolina celebrated its grand opening in August. The 400-room property owned by Noble Investment Group is attached to the new 500,000-square foot Raleigh Convention Center.

An 82-room Fairfield Inn & Suites opened in Des Moines, IA last month.

Vantage Hospitality

Vantage Hospitality Group, Inc. celebrated the ninth anniversary of its first hotel brand, Americas Best Value Inn, last month. By the end of the second quarter, ABVI had nearly 800 properties and more than 50,000 rooms worldwide.

Wyndham

CUSA, LLC will open and manage the new 100-room Wingate Hotel in LaGrange, GA. It is scheduled to open this fall.

Tecton Hospitality signed to manage the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel & Conference Center at the Miami Airport. The 259-room hotel has over 10,500 square feet of meeting space.
