Tax-Free Bond Deal OKed for University of Miami Hotel

The Miami-Dade County Commission on Tuesday unanimously approved an $89.5 million tax-free bond deal to build a hotel near the University of Miami’s medical campus. Wexford Science & Technology, the developer of the 252,000-square-foot UM Life Science & Technology Park, at 1951 N.W. Seventh Ave., plans to build the hotel next door.
