New President For Fairmont Hotels

Lodging industry veteran Tom Storey will be the new president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. The appointment becomes effective May 1, when he succeeds Chris Cahill.

Storey had been executive vice president-development for Fairmont's parent company, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, and its three brands: Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel. During that time, the company's development pipeline reached 120 projects, including 50 new Fairmont hotels. His 25-year career in the hotel business includes stints with Marriott, Doubletree, Radisson and Promus.

Cahill retains his title as Fairmont's chief operating officer. In addition, Michael Glennie was promoted to president, real estate & development for the entire company.
