Detroit Casinos to Set New Record for Annual Revenue
Detroit's three casinos are on track to set a new annual revenue record in 2011 -- despite southeast Michigan's sagging real estate market and a recession only now starting to show signs of recovery. Combined casino revenues for MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino Hotel and Greektown Casino-Hotel topped $1.3 billion for 2011 as of last month's filing of monthly statements with the Michigan Gaming Control Board, the state's casino regulator.
