Recent promotions at Wyndham Hotel Group include Duane Elledge to executive vice president, brand services, and Keith Pierce to president, brand operations, the Americas.

Brad Wilson has been named COO of New York-based Denihan Hospitality Group, which operates Affinia Hotels, The Benjamin and The James hotel brands. Wilson joined DHG in early 2008 as executive vice president-operations, when the company acquired The James hotel brand, of which Wilson was formerly CEO.

The new vice president-global distribution at Loews Hotels is Anthony Del Gaudio. Del Gaudio was most recently regional vice president of sales and marketing for Loews Hotels. Prior to joining Loews Hotels, he spent 13 years with Hyatt Hotel Corporation in a variety of sales and marketing positions.

Hilton Hotels has appointed Mark Komine senior vice president of sales and commercial development - Americas. Komine joined Hilton from LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels where he served as executive vice president. He also held executive positions with Westin Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Marriott Hotels and Resorts and Fidelity Hotel Group's Seaport Companies.

Sir Rocco Forte, chairman of The Rocco Forte Collection, Steve Rushmore, chairman and founder of HVS, and S. Truett Cathy, founder and chairman of Chick-fil-A Inc., were inducted into the Hospitality Hall of Honor, which recognizes excellence in hospitality leadership. Past inductees include such industry luminaries as J.W. Marriott, Ray Kroc, Howard Johnson, Ernest and Julio Gallo, Walt Disney and Conrad N. Hilton.

The Cornell University School of Hotel Administration has named Jon Denison associate dean for external affairs. Denison will provide strategic direction for the school's alumni affairs, development, corporate affairs and communications functions.

Long-time Hawaii hotel executive Jerry Gibson has joined Hilton Hotels Corporation as area vice president of Hawaii and managing director of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa. Gibson has nearly three decades of experience working with four and five-star Hyatt resorts and hotels across the United States.

Providence Hospitality Partners (PHP), Denver, CO has named Jeff Gerhman, sales director of the Lakeway Inn & Conference Center in Bellingham, WA, the recipient of its 2007 Sales Director of the Year award. Gerhman increased RevPAR at the property more than 20 percent from the previous year, according to David B. Storm, president of PHP.

In anticipation of the fall 2008 opening of Hyatt Place South Bend/Mishawaka, First Hospitality has named Sonnie Troyer and Shelia Reed, general manager and director of sales, respectively. Troyer, an 11-year hospitality industry veteran, will oversee 40 associates. The hotel will feature 121 guestrooms and 1,260 square feet of meeting space.

Linda C. Simpson has been named vice president sales and marketing for Stanford Hotels. Simpson will be responsible for Stanford's portfolio of 13 properties across the U.S. Most recently, Simpson served as managing partner for SimpsonBrown, LLC, an executive search and consulting firm she founded.

Halekulani Corporation, owner and manager of Halekulani and the Waikiki Parc Hotel on Oahu, HI, has promoted Gerald Glennon to general manager of Halekulani. Mr. Glennon joined Halekulani as executive assistant manager in 2001.

Tony Capuano is the new executive vice president of global development for Marriott International. He replaces Jim Sullivan, who retired after a 28-year career with the company. Capuano had been responsible for full-service hotel development in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America.

After seven years with the Kimpton Hotel Group, Liz Dahlager was hired as director of marketing and sales at Surftides in Lincoln City, a Farmer's Daughter Hotel Group property. Surftides also named Steve Vreeken as general manager.
