Hyatt 3Q Profit Drops 53% on Charges, Revenue Rises
Hyatt Hotels Corp.'s third-quarter net income dropped 53 percent because of one-time charges, but the hotel operator's adjusted earnings beat analysts' estimates and revenue rose on increased occupancy and higher room rates. The company, whose brands include Hyatt Regency and Andaz, reported net income of $14 million, or 8 cents per share, compared with $30 million, or 17 cents per share, in the same period last year.
