ACCOR STRENGHTENS INTERVAL
Accor Premiere Vacation Club recently renewed and extended its master affiliation agreement with Interval International. The agreement extends the relationship from Accor's existing timeshare business in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji to include the affiliation of its new Asian club and all future vacation ownership business in Asia and the Pacific. Interval will also provide other services to Accor, including operation of its new points-based Asian vacation club.
Accor launched its timeshare business in Asia in May as part of the Novotel Nusa Dua in Bali, Indonesia. The hotel is also site of Accor's first Asian timeshare sales office.
Accor Premiere Vacation Club has 17 properties and a member base of more than 20,000 families.
In other Interval news, the exchange company announced the addition of Cranberry Harbour Castle & Country Club in Collingwood, ON, Canada, to its vacation exchange network. At build-out, the 700-acre resort on Georgian Bay will have 155 one-and two-bedroom units. First phase of the project opened last month, with completion scheduled for 2015.
