The Broadmoor Is Sold

From The Denver Post
The Broadmoor is Sold
Colorado's richest resident, Philip Anschutz, is buying an array of assets assembled over the past 108 years by the Gaylords, one of Oklahoma's wealthiest families. His purchase will return some "lost" jewels to in-state ownership, including The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and the nearby Manitou & Pike's Peak Railway Co.

As part of the deal, Anschutz has committed to keeping The Broadmoor hotel as an independent entity. It will retain its management and staff and remain under the direction of current president and CEO Steve Bartolin, the hotel said in a statement. Click here for the full story.
