Shell Vacations recently completed a four-month renovation of its Peacock Suites timeshare resort in Anaheim, CA. IGroup Design oversaw the project, which included complete renovation of the property's 139 suites….Walt Disney World Resort is planning a massive two-pronged expansion plan. One part of the plan will include a Four Seasons Hotel, golf course, single- and multi-family vacation homes and fractional ownership vacation homes. The other project will be a mixed-use tourism district that will include 4,000 to 5,000 mid-rise, value-oriented lodging units and up to 500,000 square feet of commercial space….A late-February opening of Marriott's Frenchman's Cove on the island of St. Thomas marked Marriott Vacation Club International's first project in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The first phase of the project has 28 villas, while another 30 units will open this summer….Starwood Vacation Ownership plans to build seven two- and three-bedroom fractional residences on the grounds of its Starwood's Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, AZ. Sales will begin this summer, and the units will open by next January.

…An affiliate of Diamond Resorts will pay about $700 million, including $375 million in debt, to purchase Sunterra Resorts….Philip Baxter joined ILX Resorts as executive vice president of development. Most recently, he was first vice president of Tishman Hotel Corp….Scandia, a mixed-use resort in Roslyn, WA, opened a sales office in Bellevue, WA. A new 254-room lodge and conference center will open in spring 2008 as part of the resort.
