  • Comfort Inn Radford

    The Mumford Company represented MVF-RAJ, LLC in the recent sale of the 72-unit Comfort Inn & Suites of Radford, VA, to MPWG, Inc. Ed James, David Mumford and Matt Winston of Mumford's Newport News, VA office facilitated the sale, for $5,250,000.

  • Grove Isle Hotel

    Snyder Nationwide Real Estate announced the sale of the leasehold interest of Grove Isle Hotel & Spa, on a private island in Coconut Grove. FL, by Grove Isle Associates, to Grove Hotel Partners. The hotel features 49 oversized guestrooms, 8,000 square feet of meeting space, full-service spa and 12 championship tennis courts.

  • Hampton Inn 35th Street

    The New York office of HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler) arranged $33.5 million in financing for a recently completed 147-room hotel in Manhattan's Herald Square. Working on behalf of MMG-35 LLC, HFF Senior Managing Director Jay Marshall placed the five-year, fixed-rate loan with Cigna Investments.

  • Fairwood Hospitality Investors

    Three senior hotel executives have launched a hotel investment fund specifically to acquire hotels. Fairwood Hospitality Investors is capitalized with $150 million in equity from the principals of Fairwood Capital, a newly formed private equity fund, and two institutional investors. The principals are Robert Solmson, Ed Ansbro and Richard Reiss.

  • Hotel Montgomery

    PFK Capital handled the recent sale of the 86-room Hotel Montgomery in downtown San Jose, CA, to Kahanna Enterprises. PKF executives Mark McDermott and Henry Bose represented the seller, Gramercy Capital Corporation.

  • Hunter Realty Associates

    In one week, Hunter Realty closed three transactions valued at more than $28 million. The three properties include a Courtyard by Marriott in Bristol, VA, a Comfort Inn & Suites in Birmingham, AL, and a Best Western in Atlanta, GA. Hunter was both the listing and selling agent in all three transactions.

  • Hyatt Regency Sarasota

    The Miami and Pittsburgh offices of HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler) have arranged a senior loan for the 294-room Hyatt Regency Sarasota. Senior managing director Dan Peek and director Terri Echarte of Miami and managing director Mark Popovich of HFF Pittsburgh, working on behalf of The Blackstone Group, placed the two-year, adjustable-rate loan with Bank of America.

  • La Quinta Inn & Suites Moab

    Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services handled the recent sale of the 99-room La Quinta Inn & Suites in Moab, UT. The property was listed at $7 million and sold at an undisclosed price. Christian Child and Mike Francis, senior associates in the Salt Lake City office of Marcus & Millichap, represented the seller.

  • Marshall Management

    Marshall Management recently opened the 150-room Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo and 160-room Hampton Inn Manhattan SoHo. As part of its agreement with The Lam Group, which owns the two hotels, Marshall will provide pre-opening services and operate two other Manhattan properties scheduled to open later this year.

  • Motel 6 Houston

    The Mumford Company represented Accor Hospitality and Motel 6 in the sale of the Motel 6 Houston-Hobby airport to Jai Umiya Mata.

    Randy Lee with the Mumford Company's Dallas office facilitated sale of the 124-unit hotel for an undisclosed price.

  • Residence Inn Stillwater

    RockBridge has announced closing of a $12.1-million first mortgage for development of a 101-room Residence Inn in Stillwater, OK. The inn will be developed, owned and operated by A.G. Holdings.

  • Extended Stay Hotels

    Carlton Strategic Ventures, the principal investment and merchant-banking group of the Carlton Group, acquired a $214-million participation in the M7 mezzanine loan tranche on the Extended Stay Hotels portfolio. The senior mezzanine level tranche with over $1 billion of subordinate debt and borrower equity is part of a $7.4-billion package provided by Wachovia Bank, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns for the acquisition of Extended Stay Hotels, Inc. by the Lightstone Group in June 2007.
