CURING DINE-OUT BURN-OUT

Hyatt Summerfield Suites thinks it's got a solution to a common frequent traveler dilemma: dine-out burn-out, or the boredom that comes with eating too many meals in restaurants. According to research commissioned by Hyatt, more than half of American say they get tired of eating out while traveling, and 80 percent say they long for a home-cooked meal after eating out for as few as one to three days on the road. Others surveyed say they want healthier food options or simple meals rather than lavish restaurant food or, worse yet, fast food.
To help solve this problem, the chain teamed up with lifestyle guru Katie Brown to develop eating-out alternatives for guests. Centerpiece of the More Like Home Program is the Katie Brown Summer Grilling Social, a weekly barbecue reception for guests featuring some of Brown's signature dishes (spiced-up mini-burgers, white pizza, grilled Mexicali corn and brownies with drizzled caramel.)
Brown also developed a set of simple and inexpensive-to-prepare recipes guests can create in their guest units, which all feature full kitchen facilities. The recipe collection includes entrees, dips, marinades, dressings, specialty drinks and snacks. Most of the dishes are portioned to serve two people, and Brown offers suggestions for dishes that can be created from any leftovers.
Hyatt Summerfield Suite properties all have on-property Guest Markets and also offer complimentary grocery shopping. Guests leave a shopping list at the front desk, and a staff member will do the shopping and deliver the food and other items to the suite. The chain also provides a complimentary full breakfast buffet and evening reception.
