Bartech Systems International has developed a customized automatic minibar for the new 300-room south tower of The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Customized to fit the modern décor of The Palms, the new minibar has been sized to fit in the television armoire. The minibar's interior has been modified to include a third row for product on the inside door, increasing its minibottle capacity from 16 to 24.

The Palms is also the first casino in Las Vegas to use Ethernet communications to connect the automatic minibars in the guestrooms to the Bartech server and then to the property management system.

Bartech has units in more than 15,000 casino guest-rooms across the U.S. Almost 11,000 are in Las Vegas. The Palms is a 430-room, $265-million property housing a 95,000-square-foot casino, a spa, a salon, a Cineplex and a tattoo parlor.
