On Command Video Corp. has reached agreement with Zenith Electronics Corp. to license its Pro:Idiom digital rights management content security software.

As more hotels adopt flat-screen televisions for in-room use, HD movies could “create a win” for hotels, according to On Command. That's why it entered into a pact designed to provide content security to Hollywood, says Tad Walden, senior vice president of marketing and programming for the in-room interactive entertainment provider.

LodgeNet joined Zenith and LG Electronics in developing the proprietary Pro:Idiom technology.

In a separate announcement, Philips Electronics announced a licensing deal with Zenith enabling its new LCD and plasma flat-screen television displays to include the Pro:Idiom encryption solution.
