Editor: I'm astonished that you would write an article (Aug. 2006, pgs. 56-58) encouraging the industry to go direct with purchasing and look to overseas suppliers.

Those of us who are constantly called upon to do the extraordinary to ensure that our clients' emergency needs are met need to have the support of your publication. It is disingenuous for you to tell my customers that they can save by going around me. The fact is that most distributors, dealers and others who supply the industry are fair in their pricing and provide a service that is worth every penny of the small margin of profit they (we) work on.
