Fashion in Paradise
Fashion icon Vera Wang recently created a 2,135-square-foot luxury suite at the Halekulani, one of Hawaii's most luxurious hotels. Wang, a renowned fashion designer who also has designed more than 20 homes for family and friends, personally selected every element in the suite, either chosen from her own licensed collection or unique items selected during her travels.
Created in a style Wang calls “romantic modern,” the guest unit is marketed to the wedding, honeymoon and anniversary market. In addition to its high style, the suite has a number of high-tech toys, including a 12-inch wireless TV with an on-screen keyboard for e-mail and web browsing and a DVD wireless audio system with five-disc DVD/SACD/CD changer, digital sound and six-speaker surround-sound system.
In addition, a TV lounge in the suite has a 50-inch plasma TV, a collection of DVDs chosen by Wang and a comfy blue chaise lounge.
Rack rate for the suite is $4,000 per night and $5,500 per night to include an adjoining one-bedroom suite.
