The chairman of the 2006 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) Advisory Council is Carol Campbell Beggs, vice president of technology for Sonesta International Hotels Corp.

Beggs heads a 27-member panel that includes many names familiar to people who deal with information technology in the lodging industry. They include: Robert S. Bennett, chief information officer, The Ginn Company; Brenda Burke, director of hotel technology, Hilton Hotels Corp.; Mark F. Hedley, executive vice president and CIO, Wyndham International; William Oates, senior VP and CIO, Starwood Hotels & Resorts; and Nick Price, CIO and CTO, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
