New president of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, North America, is Sudheer Raghavan. He joins the chain from Singapore Airlines, where he was vice president for the eastern U.S. and South America.
David Adelson joined The Peabody Orlando as director of sales and marketing. Most recently, he was senior director of sales and marketing at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
Changes at InterContinental Hotels Group: Jennifer Zeigler was named senior vice president, brand management for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. She replaces Jennifer Fox, who is now COO for InterContinental Hotels in Europe. Verchele Wiggins Mills was named vice president, brand management for Holiday Inn Express, filling a vacancy left by Zeigler. Roslyn Dickerson was named regional senior vice president, diversity for the Americas.
Appointments at Hersha Hospitality Trust include Robert Hazard to vice president of acquisitions and development and William Walsh to vice president of asset management.
Marriott International named Terri Turner as corporate secretary. She had been vice president and assistant general counsel for litigation in the firm's international law department. Turner replaces Dorothy Ingalls, who is now vice president and assistant general counsel in the Americas Development group.
William Hall is the new vice president of operations for RockResorts. His career includes an 11-year stint as a general manager at several Ritz-Carlton properties. Most recently, he was GM of the Mayacama Club in Santa Rosa, CA.
New president of Noble House Hotels & Resorts is Robert Foster. Most recently, he was GM at Caleo Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ, where he managed a $9-million renovation project.
Amaury Piedra was named general manager of the Sheraton Yankee Clipper and Sheraton Yankee Trader Hotels in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He had been resort manager of the Westin & Sheraton Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island.
Hyatt Hotels named Kevin Kelly to the newly created position of executive director of sales for individual travel. Most recently, he was director of sales and marketing at the Omni Chicago.
The Extended Say Lodging Council of AH&LA recently announced winners of its first annual scholarship program. Those students receiving $2,000 awards are Brenda Hook, Widener University; Julie Ruffing, Mercyhurst College; Ashley Loyd, Washington State; Joline Zack, Johnson & Wales; Christine Mindrum, Purdue; Daniel Grove, University of Central Florida; and Weonhee Anne Lee, Boston University.
Small Luxury Hotels of the World added two sales executives to its New York City sales office: Laura Bioardi-Tsoumas to regional director of sales, the Americas; and Monica Chandra as regional manager of sales, the Americas.
Appointments at New York City operator Affinia: Beverly Ramsook to director of revenue management and distribution, Jim Zito to director of interactive marketing and development and George Drepaul to general manager of the Eastgate Tower.
