INNOVATIONS IN HOTEL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
SPRING CLEANING FRESH WITH C.A.R.E.
Ron McCauley, president of Parkplace Hospitality Group, recently announced the rollout of the C.A.R.E. (Cross Contaminates Are Removed Effectively) Housekeeping Program for all hotels the company owns and operates.
“Like most hotel operators, over the years we had introduced new chemicals and tools for housekeeping, but we never revamped the entire department,” says McCauley. “With the rollout of the Parkplace Hospitality Group C.A.R.E. program, we will utilize a new generation of tools and chemicals that are ergonomically and environmentally responsible.
“Our program offers state-of-the-art cleaning,” he adds, “while building consistency and efficiency in the housekeeping department. Our goal is to provide our guests with an exceptional guestroom experience free and clear of cross-contamination.”
Mike Amaral, COO, introduced the program at the PPHG General Manager's Conference. The new tools, chemicals and procedures were discussed and then hands-on training was conducted. The general managers and directors of sales from each hotel were teamed up with a housekeeper and EcoLab representative to put to use what they had learned. They cleaned guestrooms and gave candid input on how the system worked. Circle 60
