At VingCard Elsafe, We Listen … Hoteliers, architects, security experts and interior designers told us that design integrity is important. Therefore, electronic locks should blend into the design of your hotels.

Likewise, guests told us that reliability and ease of use are important when entering and exiting their guestrooms. With more than 14 different ways for guests to use their key-card to open electronic door locks on the market today, they often get confused and frustrated at the point of entry. Therefore, Signature by VingCard is designed with human factors and ergonomics in mind.

Further market research showed that everyone prefers a more aesthetically pleasing door lock since the door is the first impression a guest has of the room inside. We learned that:

• The lock must have minimal hardware on the outside of the door;

• It must be able to support a horizontal or vertical card reader;

• The card reader should include the Groove and Arrow feature so there is no error on the part of the guest with respect to how to insert the keycard;

• There should be a large selection of handle designs to choose from;

• It must offer an optional mechanical override feature;

• And, it must support upgradeable technology.

It is available in any of VingCard's beautiful finishes, including two alternative bezel styles (Signature Trend for contemporary designs and Signature Décor for more traditional styles). VingCard also learned that the finishes for the door handles should parallel the hotel design style, i.e., hotels with a contemporary style lean toward satin and polished chrome handles; traditional style hotels lean towards brass finishes; and decorative style hotels lean towards brass and ornamentation.

Therefore, Signature by VingCard has designed a variety of door handles that are appropriate for properties around the world and accommodate a range of installation scenarios, including new construction and retrofit environments. They are flexible in design and are compatible with a variety of interior styles. Door handles are available in a wide range of styles and finishes.
