New York's Tranquil Hotel
While Manhattan isn't typically known as a center of tranquility, the Affinia Gardens, A Tranquil Suite Hotel, is trying to change that notion. Following a $7.7-million renovation last year, the 130-room East Side hotel now offers facilities, services and design elements aimed at creating a soothing atmosphere for guests.
The Denihan Hospitality Group property even has a signature Affinia Blend tea that it serves in a lobby tea bar. Developed by Harney & Sons Teas, the tea is a blend of chamomile, citrus and vanilla, a combination purported to help guests relax and unwind.
Guestrooms feature calming color schemes, recliners and the custom Affinia Bed.
