Onity HT 24 and HT 28 locks have been certified as compliant with the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA)/American National Standard Institute (ANSI) grade 1 standard for electronic locking devices.

The trade association for North American manufacturers of commercial builders' hardware, BHMA is the only U.S. organization ANSI accredits to develop performance standards for such hardware.

The evaluation for electrified locking devices includes a break-in test, testing for operational function, slam cycle, security strength, high-voltage shock, extreme temperatures, corrosion, moisture, dust and salt spray. In addition, all these devices are subjected to a battery of electrical function tests.
