The limits to resort pampering continue to be stretched, and luxury operator One&Only is at the forefront of the movement. The chain's property in Palmilla, Mexico specializes in a variety of beachside indulgences for its guests, including three private beach coves along the resort's one-mile coastline.

Highlight of the cove experience are floating beds and ocean hammocks that hover over the Sea of Cortez. The beds are outfitted with deluxe mattresses, soft terry cloth sheets and plush, colorful pillows. An optional canopy blocks the sun as needed.

A cove butler escorts guests to the beachside facility and is available via cell phone during the day to provide towels, magazines, books, customized iPods and food and beverage. One&Only charges $300 a day, plus f&b charges for the coves.
