Red Roof Taps Softbrands For New Technology Infrastructure

Economy hotel brand Red Roof Inns recently completed a major renovation of its nearly 330 U.S. hotels and needed technology to match. It looked for integrated solutions, flexibility, service and responsiveness. SoftBrands met those criteria.

“Our vision for IT at Red Roof is to build an infrastructure that provides deep insight into the performance of our business and enables us to quickly act on that knowledge,” says Jeff Linden, senior vice president of IT and chief information officer. “The integrated SoftBrands solutions allow us to maximize operating efficiencies by centralizing systems while still allowing for local control at the properties.”

Integrated Solutions

Besides an accounts receivable solution, the integrated mix from SoftBrands includes:

  • Core Central Reservations System (CRS): This will allow Red Roof to process reservations and manage rates and availability from a centralized location.

  • Epitome Property Management System: Epitome PMS aims to give Red Roof a complete solution for management of availability and affinity programs.

  • Mosaik Customer Relationship Management (CRM): This maintains a comprehensive, accurate centralized customer profile to help increase customer loyalty, competitiveness and bottom-line results.

  • Mosaik Business Intelligence (BI) : Mosaik BI delivers strategic analysis to transform raw data into cohesive business intelligence.

Application Management Services

Application Management Services (AMS) from SoftBrands includes application and infrastructure monitoring, trend reporting on capacity, daily tasks such as file system cleanup and performance tuning. Red Roof is the first customer for this capability.

Scalability

SoftBrands will implement new technology for Red Roof in a multi-phase process beginning with the centralized AR functionality, followed by deployment of Core CRS and Mosaik CRM. Next up: installing the Epitome PMS solution in all hotels.
