TAPPING ONE-STOP TRAINING
Hoteliers can now access a one-stop training solution through the Educational Institute's Unlimited Training Library. Provided through the AH&LA, the library offers training, education and certification materials in an easy-to-use kit format for a low yearly fee.
America's Best Franchising, Inc. offers EI's training library to all its franchisees and their employees, with the opportunity to become professionally certified at no cost to them. It also provides EI's Spirit of Hospitality service module.
The Unlimited Training Library includes modules for the front office, housekeeping, sales, security and maintenance departments, and is geared to all levels of employees, from managers and supervisors, to line-level. It also gives employees the opportunity to cross-train among disciplines. Also, a hallmark of the library is professional certification, which requires earning yearly credits in order to retain a designation.
As an incentive for associates to take the accompanying EI exams and achieve certification, America's Best Franchising will provide an American Express-branded reward card worth $20 to those who pass the Spirit of Hospitality exam, plus for owners a $20 credit on franchise fees for that month. Award cards in additional amounts are also given for other exams passed in the training library and to those GMs who pass the Certified Lodging Manager course.
