Linen and hospitality provider A-1 Textiles began with two staff members inside a 2000 sq. ft. industrial office space in Chatsworth, CA. Within the first five years, the business made the “Inc. 500” list as one of the fastest growing small companies in the nation. Having relocated to much larger quarters in Pacoima, CA, adding five other ship points nationwide and surviving recessions and earthquakes, A-1 Textiles is now celebrating its 28th anniversary.

Owner Carol Moran attributes A-1's growth and survival in a highly competitive business to its vast multi product base that fits any budget, from economy to top-of-the-line, prompt service and a customer base that serves hotels and motels, athletic clubs and spas, as well as other hospitality institutions. “A-1 Textiles is a sound business model and offers truly the best customer service in the industry. Ms. Moran continues, “We provide towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, mattress pads, bedspreads, draperies and amenity products to any size business nationwide. In addition, A-1 Textiles has recently become a distributor of the Golden Mill/Touch^™ line of products.”

As the hotel/motel industry is looking to upgrade properties with bigger, heavier and plusher towels, the Golden Touch^™ towel line has become an alternative to the coarse and disintegrating towels that hotel guests hate. Made from specially cleaned and ring spun cotton, these towels are long lasting, smooth, and remain soft and absorbent despite harsh frequent washings. Dobby border towels which create even more of an upgraded look are available in white and beige and the standard Cam border is in white. The pricing on these towels has made it possible to upgrade the towels, and yet allow the property to maintain its linen budget

A-1 Textiles has been a long- time approved vendor for many chains including Americas Best Value Inns and has recently become an approved vendor for Choice Hotels, International. Now with two of the products from the Golden Mills line meeting the “Top of the Bed 2006” standards, the T-200 percale sheets and the Golden Lux blankets, and available thru A-1, the company is enjoying its steadiest growth ever.
