Trendwest Goes Vertical
Trendwest Resorts will build a 14-story timeshare resort on Anaheim, CA's hotel circle and minutes from Disneyland. The 253-unit WorldMark Anaheim, the company's 14th resort in California and second in Anaheim, will be the tallest building in the city. Construction begins next year, with units ready in 2008.
The company recently purchased The Resort at Deer Harbor in the San Juan Islands, WA in northern Puget Sound. Trendwest plans to renovate the property and rebrand it as a WorldMark timeshare resort.
Fairfield Resorts, Trendwest's sister company under the Cendant banner, recently acquired the 56-room Prava Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego. The company plans to renovate the property and reopen it as the 56-unit Fairfield San Diego at Harbour Lights. The timeshare property will open next February.
