In Tune With Hilton
At last month's Grammy Awards, Hilton launched a unique musical promotion that doubles as a charitable effort. Backstage at the Awards in Los Angeles, Hilton unveiled its Harmony Piano and solicited celebrities to sign the instrument. Following the event, the piano went on a cross-country tour of Hilton properties and music sites in major cities, and at each stop local musicians and celebrities sign the piano.
Hilton will donate $1,000 for each celebrity signature, which it will donate to the Grammy Foundation in support of music education. The goal is to raise $100,000 over the next year. At next year's Grammy Awards, the Hilton Harmony Piano will be auctioned off to add to the charity donation.
Hilton officials say the effort is a natural extension of the brand's “Travel Should Take You Places” campaign.
