The Grand Heritage Hotel Group has chosen the epitome for Windows property management system from Hotel Information Systems for its Vanderbilt Hall Hotel in Newport, RI.

A recent issue of Lodging Hospitality contained an error. Here is the correct information: The General Services Administration awarded a GSA Schedule 70 contract to MAI Systems Corp., parent company of Hotel Information Systems. The contract enables federal government customers to easily acquire HIS technology products and services.

HP executive Vikki Pachera joined the board of directors of Lodge Net Entertainment Corp. Pachera is vice president of global alliances and business development at HP.

Yvette Felix is the new marketing communications coordinator for security products vendor Saflok. She oversees the firm's internal and external advertising, public relations, marketing collateral and website content.

Joining Los Angeles-based law firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro is Peter Connolly. His resume includes 18 years with Hyatt Hotels as general counsel, and other positions.

The New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies presented its 2005 Teaching Excellence Award to Ted Brumleve, a partner in Brennan Beer Gorman Architects and Brennan Beer Gorman Monk Interiors. He's been an adjunct professor at NYU's Preston Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management since 2003.

California-based Sunstone Hotel Investors selected TIG Global as its web services and Internet marketing manager for its portfolio of 56 hotels.

Recent appointments at Inncom International include Christopher Manthous to vice president of marketing and Matthew Fagan as vice president of sales for the company's northeast region. Manthous joins Inncom from McGraw-Hill Construction, while Fagan was most recently with Way-port.

Veteran lodging industry consultant Peter Tyson joined PKF Consulting as a vice president. Most recently, he was president of Tyson Hospitality Consulting.

Hawaii-based HTH Corp. chose Avendra as its procurement partner. HTH's hotel group includes two properties on Oahu and one on the Big Island.

Prollinx, which makes web-based purchasing software for hospitality, signed an agreement to help Mirage Trade & Export supply its upscale clients in remote destinations.

Tom Hamm was named national director of hospitality for Sperry Van Ness, a national commercial real estate investment brokerage firm. He continues to serve as a senior advisor for the company based in Stamford, CT.

Atlanta-based Hodges Ward Elliott formed a new division devoted exclusively to golf course brokerage and capital sourcing. HWE Vice Presidents William Shiver and Todd Ratliff head the new venture.

Former Best Western executive Mike Kistner recently joined Pegasus Solutions as senior vice president of service delivery and operations. He had been CIO and senior VP of distribution at Best Western.

Kim Swanson joined Rock-Bridge Capital, a Columbus, OH-based real estate investment firm, as senior vice president and corporate counsel. He had been a partner with the law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey.

Alberta-based Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment will purchase Golden Tree Communications. The new company will have 2,100 hotels and 300,000 rooms worldwide under Internet connectivity support agreements.
