Laundry equipment manufacturer Continental Girbau, Inc. recently celebrated its 10th year of operation in North America. The firm is a subsidiary of the 50-year-old Spanish firm Girbau S.A.
Thomas Giuliano joined Hospitality Solutions LLC as senior vice president. Most recently, he was director of business development for WorldHotels and before that, director of franchise development for Cendant Corp.
Recent appointments at Avendra include Jane Marie Dunigan to senior vice president of Avendra Technology Group and CIO and Stacey Dash Thiell to vice president, marketing and communications. In other company news, Canadian hotel management company Centennial Hotels Ltd. selected Avendra as its procurement company.
TIG Global, the Washington, DC-based hotel industry interactive marketing company, added two members to its management team: Matt Heller as vice president of technology and Dan Benderly as creative director.
Furniture and equipment manufacturer SICO, Inc. named Chris Wilson as president of the firm's new Asia Strategic Business Unit. Wilson, who had been president of SICO America, coordinates the company's various subsidiaries and joint ventures in Asia.
Safemark Systems selected Toronto-based Select Hospitality Systems to be the exclusive distributor of its in-room safe products in the Canadian hotel market.
Appointments at Fox Cable Networks include Jamia Bigalow as vice president, affiliate marketing and Eric Schmidt as manager, advanced services. Biglalow previously held a similar position with the NFL Network, while Schmidt's experience includes a stint with Major League Baseball Advanced Media.
Tennant Co. elected Chris Killingstad as its new president, CEO and member of the board of directors. He succeeds Janet Dolan, who is retiring on Dec. 1.
Benjamin West recently signed agreements to provide ff&e purchasing services for a number of hotel projects: The Lodge at Northern Bay in Adams County, WI; Parrot Key Resort, Key West, FL; Il Lugano at the Village, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort in Bermuda; and a portfolio of 12 hotels owned by Highgate Holdings.
