LodgeNet Entertainment Corp. struck a deal with the media arm of the National Basketball League to deliver NBA League Pass pro basketball games to hotel rooms. As part of LodgeNet's Hotel SportsNet service, guests can order a one-day pass to watch all games that day.

LodgeNet also recently signed agreements to be interactive TV services provider to both CSM Lodging and Concord Hospitality Enterprises.

Tecton Hospitality named Miami-based Harrison & Shriftman to manage public relations for the firm's Desires boutique hotel division.

Onity named Brian Bevins sales manager for its Senercomm/EMS division. He previously held similar posts for a lodging security company and for Lodging Technology Corp. Onity also appointed Steve Brooks as regional sales rep for Florida and Georgia for all of its products and services.

In 2004, procurement services firm Avendra signed or renewed contracts with more than 275 suppliers. Notable contracts signed include deals with American Hotel Register, Wasserstrom and US Foodservice.

New chief operating officer of Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment is Craig Snelgrove. He oversees operations, product management, R&D and client services for the firm.

Saflok and La Gard recently honored its top sales performers for 2004. Winners include Rich Casciato, Sr. and Kevin Hirschy for top Safekeeper sales and Geoff Grossan, Sr. and Chris Abrams for both top Saflok sales and for overall excellence.

Safemark Systems recently installed its Millennium 5.0 safes in 1,362 rooms at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina.

The General Services Administration awarded a GSA Schedule 70 contract to MSI Systems Corp., parent company of Hotel Information Systems. The contract enables federal government customers to easily acquire HIS technology products and services.

Ted Urschel joined InfoGenesis as general counsel. Most recently, he was associate general counsel for Veritas Software Corp.

On Command Corp. recently signed an exclusive seven-year agreement to provide video-on-demand pay-per-view services in Hyatt Hotels in the U.S. As part of the contract, the Hyatts will be upgraded to On Command's Roommate system and Canvas software.
