Jerry Anderson was promoted from senior vice president to president of the national advisor organization of Sperry Van Ness, an Irvine, CA-based real estate brokerage firm. Other appointments: Pete Peterson to organization development director, Sara Gillette to organization development manager, Kymberlee Black to national advisor development manager and Katherine Ripper to regional director.

Robert Fitzgerald, a 12-year employee of 4240 Architecture, was named a partner of the Denver-based firm.

New manager of business development for Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo is John Page. Most recently, he held a similar post with Perini Building Co.

Benjamin West recently expanded its Dallas office and promoted Ed Phaby to purchasing director responsible for the office. The firm recently landed renovation purchasing services contracts for the Chicago Marriott Downtown, the Hilton Ontario (CA) and the Ambassador Hotel in Milwaukee.

GrandStay Hospitality named Pegasus Solutions its 2004 Vendor of the Year. The technology firm accepted the award at GrandStay's recent GM and franchisee conference.

Charley Knight was promoted to vice president of sales for Shaw Hospitality. He had been a regional sales manager for the Georgia-based marketer of guestroom carpet.

Cendant Travel Distribution Services named Mitch Truwit CEO and president of its Americas Consumer Travel business. He oversees Orbitz, Cheap Tickets, Lodging.com and the Neat Group. Most recently, Truwit was vice president and COO of Priceline.com.

Patrick Brown was named principal and shareholder of Sonnenblick-Eichner Co. He had been executive director of the Los Angeles-based real estate investment banking firm.

Technology firm Micros Systems, Inc. recently purchased JTech Communications, marketer of on-premise wireless paging systems for hospitality and retail markets.

Linda Lom joined Design Origins as a regional vice president. The firm, a subsidiary of Shaw Industries, markets custom pattern carpet to the hospitality market. She covers all states east of the Mississippi.

The rebranded Horwath Hospitality & Leisure LLC recently opened an office in London, U.K. The firm was formerly known as Horwath Hospitality Investment Advisors. Former PricewaterhouseCoopers executive Ber-nard Delomenie heads the office.

Maryland-based procurement firm Avendra promoted Chris Kim to vice president, sales analysis, support and implementation.
