Procurement giant Avendra signed HEI Hospitality and its management company subsidiary Merritt Hospitality as new customers. Merritt operates 23 full-service hotels in the U.S. Once full implemented, the purchasing agreement will add more than $20 million in customer spend to Avendra.
Extended Stay Hotels selected Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment as its high-speed Internet access provider. The company is installing its HSIA system in 375 Extended Stay-brand properties.
Visual One Systems signed a deal to install its property management, sales & catering, back-office accounting, condo accounting, activity scheduling and web page booking system at the 820 units managed by Mammoth Hospitality Management at Mammoth Lakes, CA. Steve Hillis was promoted to senior vice president fashion brands for The Mohawk Group. He had been senior vice president sales and marketing for Durkan Patterned Carpet. As part of his new role, Hillis will continue to oversee the company's hospitality division, which includes Durkan and sister brands Merit and Durkan Suites.
Former PricewaterhouseCoopers executive Cheryl Boyer has joined Lodging Investment Advisors, a New York City firm headed by Sean Hennessey, another former PwC executive. Replacing Boyer as head of PwC's New York hospitality practice is Ross Woods. He had been vice president of hotel investments for Prudential Real Estate Investors.
New vice president in Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels' New York office is Jeffrey Davis. Most recently, he oversaw asset management and business development for Ian Schrager Hotels.

As part of a recent $70-million renovation, the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in Ojai, CA chose Dell to supply televisions and other technology, including servers and storage for the property's res system. The acquisition includes LCD TVs in guestrooms and elsewhere in the property, as well as notebook computers, workstations, printers and monitors.
