Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville selected HBO as its premium TV programming service. Comcast Cable negotiated the deal. HBO is now available in all three Gaylord properties.

Tom Sommer joined lodging broker The Mumford Company as a vice president. He had been Choice Hotel's director of franchise sales for Sleep Inn in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

High-tech firms RoomLinX and Eleven Wireless have formed a partnership to bring Eleven Wireless' software that manages public-access hospitality broadband networks to hotels that employ RoomLinx's high-speed wireless network. Eleven Wireless also hired Marshall Potts as national sales director.

Design firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo signed a three-year agreement to be a corporate partner with the Center for Hospitality Research at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Several other firms, Estrela Marketing Solutions and Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., have become corporate friends of the Center.

Real estate broker Sperry Van Ness entered the Norfolk, VA market with the addition of two new senior advisors: John Small and Shailesh Shah. Both previously held similar positions with Advantis Commercial Real Estate Co.

PKF Capital Markets Group opened an office in Huntington Beach, CA to do business in six western states. Former Cendant Coldwell Banker Commercial Hospitality Group executive Bob Perlman manages the new office.

LodgeNet Entertainment Corp. and On Command Video Corp. signed multi-year agreements with NBA League Pass to offer the pro basketball subscription package in hotel guestrooms. Guests can purchase the service on a per-day or per-stay basis.

Promotions at beverage equipment maker BUNN include Greg Fisher to senior vice president, national accounts, and Joe Sturm to vice president, sales administration and customer support. Both executives have been with BUNN for more than 20 years.

Additions to the Passkey team include Rodd Herron as vice president of business development and Courtney Marsh and David Leitner as regional directors of business development. Passkey markets online group reservations systems.

Sun Hospitality Advisors, a division of The Plasencia Group, opened an office in San Francisco, and Scott Griemsmann was appointed vice president, western region. Sun brokers limited-service and mid-market lodging properties.

Laurie Grogan Lyza joined Crossville, Inc, as marketing manager. Most recently, she held a similar position with U.S. Cellular. Crossville markets large-size porcelain stone tile for residential and contract applications.

Lake Country Marketing signed a deal to represent Tornado Industries in North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Nebraska. Ron Hohrman is president of Lake Country.

The Hotel Networks named Cannella Response Television as its exclusive infomercial media representative for its free-to-guest hotel TV service.
