VINO BELLO DEBUTS IN NAPA

Earlier this summer, two resort properties opened simultaneously on adjacent land in California's Napa Valley. Shell Vacations debuted its 116-unit Vino Bello timeshare resort, while Pacific Hospitality Group opened the Meritage Resort at Napa. The two resorts share more than the valuable Napa land.

“While there is no formal partnership involved, we share the same piece of land and have many cross-uses,” says Shell Vacations CEO Sheldon Ginsburg. It's more of a joint-use agreement that will result in significant benefits to everyone involved, including guests at both properties with the Meritage staff checking in Shell guests and providing additional services.”

Vino Bello was built on the last remaining land in Napa that is zoned for vacation ownership. The property will be sold as part of the points-based Shell Vacations Club-West region.

Units at the luxury property features flat-panel wall-mounted TVs in both living rooms and bedrooms. Master bedrooms have Jacuzzi tubs and luxury bedding packages. All units have porches, some with views of a working vineyard on the property and some with seating for four and a rocking bench. Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo provided interior design services.

Recreation facilities include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and children's pool and water spray playground and an extensive exercise facility.

With 158 guestrooms and 14,000 square feet of conference facilities, the Meritage Resort caters to business travelers and corporate groups. Later this year, the hotel will open a spa and wine cave. Its 118-seat Siena Restaurant is open to both hotel and vacation ownership guests.

The Meritage is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.
