At Wynn Las Vegas Resort, It Only Takes One Card To Make A Full House: TimeLox

Luxury hotels, large resorts and casinos of all sizes are turning to TimeLox® to provide heightened security for their assets, guests and employees by installing the company's One-Card electronic locking solution. Recently TimeLox installed its proprietary One-Card solution at the $2.6 billion Wynn Las Vegas Resort, scheduled to open in April.

“When it comes to building a property of this magnitude, you can bet that the Wynn organization wouldn't gamble with success or the safety of its guests,” said Matthew Mrowczynski, TimeLox executive vice president. “The Wynn organization knew from past experience that TimeLox offers the most comprehensive, guest-friendly security systems for the casino market, coupled with the most advanced, integrated player-tracking technology and sophisticated handle designs. They placed their money on TimeLox.”

Mrowczynski said that the Wynn Las Vegas Resort is the first to use the TimeLox One-Card Solution for player tracking. This integrated technology solution will give Wynn guests access to their rooms, in-room safes, refreshment centers, the casino, shops, restaurants, golf club and more with the swipe of a single keycard. Not only will this provide a secure, cashless environment for the vast numbers of guests expected to visit the property each year, but it also will provide management with critical guest history and preference information.

“To enhance guest loyalty and build membership in its Player Club, management of the Wynn resort said they will encourage guests to retain the cards for use on their next visit,” Mrowczynski said. “The system also tracks guest expenditures, making it easy to customize services and optimize marketing opportunities.”

The One-Card Solution is based on the TimeLox DC-One IR5 (infrared) online-locking system and reads both magstripe and smart cards for maximum system flexibility. It utilizes advanced infrared communication technology, developed in partnership with INNCOM International Inc., to create a cost efficient online solution.

The DC-One IR5 system features the ability to relocate guests or extend stay times without the need to re-encode their keycards. It also detects door-left-ajar and immediately cancels lost staff cards without visiting the locks. Other features include sequential and roaming intruder alarm, low battery and/or maintenance needed notification, instant staff locator and an all-inclusive event list with real-time data transfer.

“We are proud to add the prestigious Wynn Las Vegas Resort to our portfolio of prestigious Las Vegas resorts and casinos,” Mrowczynski said.

The MGM Mirage Resorts in Las Vegas — the Bellagio, New York New York and Mirage — also have chosen the TimeLox DC-One IR5, he said.

“The TimeLox One-Card Solution, DC-One IR5 and DC-One online systems go far beyond locks to add a whole new dimension to guest security and hotel operations,” Mrowczynski said. “With TimeLox, everyone's a winner.”
