Next month’s International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York City will showcase the latest and most innovative products and services available to the hospitality industry. The 94th edition of the show will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 through Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association will hold its fall conference in conjunction with the show. The conference, which will be held at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel, serves as the kickoff to the association’s year-long centennial celebration.

The Hotel Show’s opening day features the annual Hospitality Leadership Forum, a series of panel discussions on key topics facing the industry. Opening the Forum will be a CEO Leadership Panel, moderated by Jim Burba of Burba Hotel Network. Lodging company CEOs on the panel include Jim Abrahamson of InterContinental Hotels Group, the Americas; Eric Danziger of Wyndham Hotel Group; and Hubert Joly of Carlson Hotels. Following the session, a group of lodging industry analysts will provide their outlook for the business for 2010 and beyond.

More than 20 other panel discussions on a variety of lodging and foodservice topics will be held throughout the show. On Sunday, Nov. 8 from 3 to 4 p.m., Lodging Hospitality editor Ed Watkins will moderate a session titled “When Will the Big Apple Bounce Back.” A panel of New York City hotel executives will present their business forecast for the winter and beyond and share their marketing and operational strategies to succeed in tough times. Panelists include Vijay Dandapani, president & COO, Apple Core Hotels; John Fitzpatrick, CEO North America, Fitzpatrick Hotel Group; Sean Hennessey, CEO, Lodging Advisors; and Michael Silberstein, general manager, Crowne Plaza Times Square.

Other highlights of the Show and the AH&LA Conference:

• A panel of hospitality trade press editors will choose the best new items on display at the show. The Editors’ Choice Awards covers five product categories with additional awards presented to eco-friendly products in each category. The editors also choose the Kenneth F. Hine Best of Show Award.

• The Gold Key Awards honor the best interior design projects in hotels and restaurants around the world. More than 225 projects were entered in the competition.

• The AH&LA Conference starts with a cocktail reception on Friday, Nov. 6. Saturday evening features the International Hospitality Ball at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The event culminates with an inaugural gala on Sunday evening at the Waldorf honoring incoming AH&LA Chairman David Kong, who is president & CEO of Best Western International.

• More than 30 AH&LA committees and councils will convene during the conference. Other key events will be a Women in Lodging Networking Luncheon on Monday and a AH&LEI Celebration of Excellence breakfast, also on Monday.
