Busy NBA All-Star Weekend May Mean Orlando-Area Hotels Won't Overbook
Hotels, like airlines, routinely accept more reservations than they have space for during peak times of year. They are anticipating, based on experience, that a certain percentage of guests with reservations will cancel at the last minute or wind up delayed by weather or travel foul-ups.
But a handful of times each year, everybody shows up as scheduled on a busy weeknight or weekend, and someone has to be relocated — or as the industry calls it, "walked" — to another hotel. Click here for the full story.
