Valley Forge Fabrics introduces Tencel+Plus Lyocell Eucalyptus upholstery, the latest in its Fresh line of sustainable fabrics. The new product is made of wood pulp cellulose from eucalyptus trees. The company says it is made in the U.S. and can replace cotton and rayon fabrics.

SOFTWARE TRAINING
IQware’s IQuniversity is an online learning platform to teach and certify hotel employees on the firm’s family of software applications. Instead of static images in books, the system uses streaming video to show employees exactly how to perform the tasks. The courses are available 24/7/365, and each week up to three live sessions are offered for in-depth training and retraining.

Model HiD37 from Hotel Technologies is an alarm clock radio that enables guests to wake to their personal music selections from from iPad/iPad2, iPhone or iPod while charging the devices. An additional USB charging port accommodates other personal mobile devices.

SCROLL COMPRESSORS
Danfoss says its scroll compressors are the quietest, most reliable and longest-lasting units available. It line of units includes models for light commercial applications, such as in hotels, on HVAC&R equipment. The company says the units are less likely to break down because they include no threaded fasteners and 90% of internal bolts have been eliminated in favor of press fit couplings.

HDTV TECHNOLOGIES
At the recent HD Expo, LG Electronics showcased its line of guestroom and public area HD televisions. Its LE530C LED model is available in 42-, 47- and 55-inches and features a 1.2-inch slim profile and invisible speaker system. The units are available with Pro:Centric and Pro:Idiom technologies for easy delivery of custom contents, including information sharing, advertising and HD programming.

UPGRADED SHOWERHEAD
Speakman Co. has redesigned its Anystream Classic 6-Jet showerhead. Upgrades to the new unit include a metal faceplate free from screw holes, a contoured peanut handle and an extended body to create a smooth body shape up to the connection ball. The showerheads feature the company’s exclusive 360-degree spray technology.
