Home Depot now carries the WingIt Innovations line of fasteners and fixtures, which the company says are the “world’s strongest.” According to WingIts, the fasteners can hold up to 300 pounds, eliminating the need to reconstruct walls for blocking in order to mount heavy objects. They can be used with shelving, bath accessories, window dressings, cabinets and most flat-screen TVs.

GUEST AMENITIES
Marquis Green introduces two new lines of eco-friendly guest amenities: The Eco Naturals and Eco Essentials Collections. Eco Naturals is developed with all-natural, plant-based biodegradable ingredients and packaging with PET. Eco Essentials is suited for the cost-conscious buyer, says the company.

MEETING ROOM DESIGN APP
SwankDraw is an iPad app hotel staff and clients can use to design meeting room layouts simply and quickly. Using a drag-and-drop feature, the user can add images of room elements, such as podiums, lighting, staging, tables, signage and more. The images can be resized or changed quickly and easily.

IQware introduces a new Business Intelligence program that allows hotels using the IQware PMS to more easily collect and evaluate the thousands of data points from its guests. A simple web interface allows users to produce sophisticated reports that can be exported into Microsoft Office applications for further manipulation.

MagneticPix is a dry-erase, water- and sun-resistant signage that incorporates a hotel’s graphics onto a mountable sign that can promote restaurant specials, meeting room schedules, daily activities, spa services and many other applications.
