Steve Rudnitsky, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotels, resigned his post to “pursue other interests.” The company is searching for a successor.

As part of a senior executive restructuring, Matt Avril was named president of Starwood's Hotel Group. He succeeds Matt Ouimet, who left the company. Avril had been co-president of Starwood Vacation Ownership with Sergio Rivera, who will now head the vacation ownership unit.

Wyndham Hotel Group announced the leadership team for the recently acquired Microtel Inns & Suites and Hawthorn Suites brands. Roy Flora was appointed president of the brands, reporting to Tony Berger, Wyndham Hotel Group chief operating officer. Mike Muir and Tim Muir were named senior vice presidents of franchise sales and development for the brands' western and eastern regions, respectively. Benny Stephens was named vice president, design and construction and Rosanne Zusman was promoted to brand senior vice president.

Charles (Chick) Armstrong joined NYLO Hotels LLC as senior vice president of franchise development. He had been southeast regional vice president of development for Hyatt Select Hotels Group and was part of the team that launched Hyatt Place and Hyatt Summerfield Suites.

The Leading Hotels of the World named former president and CEO Paul M. McManus vice chairman of Leading Ventures. McManus will continue to serve the organization's board while he oversees development of new business opportunities. Ted Teng succeeded McManus as president and CEO.

Marriott International selected Tina Edmundson to fill the newly created position of senior vice president, lifestyle brands and Renaissance operations. The former Starwood luxury group and W executive will lead the Renaissance and Renaissance Club Sport brands.

Andrew Duffy is taking over marketing responsibility for Wyndham Hotel Group's nine hotel brands in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific region.
