The legendary Eden Roc Renaissance Beach Resort & Spa in Miami Beach is getting a $180-million makeover by architect John Nichols. The transformation includes all 349 guestrooms, pools and cabanas, spa, restaurants, meeting space and retail options, as well as a newly constructed 21-story, 283-room tower.
The focal point of the arrival experience for guests will be the rosewood columns encircling the upscale lobby bar. Each of the existing guestrooms will be reconfigured to feature large bathrooms and spacious bedrooms awash in the colors of sun, sea and sand. The new tower will feature guestrooms with modern finishes, luxurious bedding, LCD TVs, five-fixture bathrooms and endless views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Two new ballrooms will be created in the Ocean Tower, including the Rooftop Terrace that can be tented. The main pool will be expanded, showcasing five new infinity-edge plunge pools overlooking the Atlantic.
“The vision for the bold new Eden Roc is remarkably dramatic,” says Saun Lightbourne, director of sales and marketing. “We look forward to offering our guests a sophisticated, chic, contemporary resort experience with cutting-edge technology providing Renaissance ‘live well’ standards with exceptional service.”
The renovations should be finished this fall after 18 months.
