LANDMARK GETS A FACELIFT
Forty may be the new 30, but in hotel design years, 40 is not necessarily so “fabulous.” Regardless, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta is pulling out all the stops to celebrate its 40th anniversary, including some welcome guestroom renovation. A recent $8-million renovation of the former Ivy Tower reveals 200 guestrooms that have been transformed into classic modern accommodations.
The chic, studio-style guestrooms received new bedding, furniture, floor and wall coverings and fixtures for enhanced lighting. The interior designs of the new Radius rooms, by CMMI, provide a fresh and eclectic look, revealing a palette of light green colors, combined with espresso-colored wood furniture.
Based on demographic information gathered prior to the renovation, Radius was designed specifically for the growing number of female travelers.
