The intimate, 45-room, six-story Duane Street Hotel opened recently, in the trendy Tribeca area of New York City. The upscale lifestyle boutique was designed by architectural firm Gene Kaufman Associates and interior designer Paul Vega.
“We have developed a hotel at ‘neighborhood’ scale — a small, service-oriented hotel that will engender loyalty and long-term stays from our guests,” says GM Jeffrey Stegman.
Each of the sophisticated and minimalist-designed rooms features hardwood floors, a warm color palette, slate and marble bathrooms with rain showerheads and 100-percent Egyptian cotton designer linens. Today's requisite tech touches include high-speed wired Internet in all rooms and wireless Internet access throughout the property; flat screen HD TVs; CD/DVD players; and expandable work desks.
The Duane Street Hotel is Hersha Hospitality Management's fifth hotel in Manhattan and 10th in metropolitan New York City.
