Safemark Systems named Steve Davis as new president of the guestroom safe company. Most recently, Davis was CEO of Digney York Associates, a construction management firm.

Former Microsoft executive Larry Steinberg joined hotel software vendor Agilysys as senior vice president of technology. He had been a development manager for Microsoft.

Eleven Wireless, an online guest services systems provider, promoted Dan Lulich to chief technology officer. He had been vice president of technology.

Starwood Hotels selected Spectrio as its preferred telephone audio vendor. The firm will create on-hold messaging systems for many of Starwood’s properties.

Serta Contract and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts selected CKI Solutions as its sole supplier of mattress, pillow and box spring encasement products.

The Royal Park Hotel in suburban Detroit hired Micros eCommerce Services/TIG Global to build it a new website and for strategic Internet marketing services. The new site launches this summer.

Pegasus Solutions hired Craig Cartwright as vice president of central reservation systems product management. He had been a senior consultant with Hudson Crossing.

Former Wyndham Worldwide CIO Jeff Edwards joined Amadeus as vice president of hotels, Americas.

Hotel Brokers International conferred the Certified Hotel Broker designation on Larry Best, principal and broker with Buffalo Hotel Realty in Buffalo, NY.

Sean O’Leary is new CEO of newBrandAnalytics. He succeeds co-founder Neil Kataria, who becomes chairman of the social business intelligence solutions provider. O’Leary had been co-founder and CEO of Genscape, Inc.

New global CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is Mark Wynne-Smith. He had been CEO of the firm’s EMEA business. Former CEO Arthur de Haast becomes chairman.

Two lodging industry marketing firms—MMG Worldwide and Ypartnership—merged. The new firm, headed by President & CEO Clayton Reid, is called MMGY Global.

Chicago-based Ultima Hospitality named Patrick Hansen vice president of operations. He held management positions with Marcus Hotels and Resorts before joining Ultima last year.

The Algon Group and REH Capital Partners formed a strategic alliance. Algon is a leading boutique financial advisory and restructuring firm, while REH is a real estate and hospitality consulting firm headed by industry veteran Frank Nardozza.

Vicki McMullan joined RoomService Amenities as senior account executive focusing on the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. RSA is a supplier of personal care and guestroom products to the luxury hotel market.

Three hospitality design leads have joined forces to launch SR3 Design, a new interior architectural design firm. Industry veterans Stacey Larsen, Ryan Oxford and Oz Ekviriyakul opened their new firm in Beverly Hills.

Steven Vazquez is the new vice president of Savills LLC’s hotel practice. New York-based Savills LLC is a real estate investment banking company and a part of UK-based Savills plc.

Kristin Vines joined Hospitality Performance Network Global (HPNG) as regional vice president Hawaii. HPNG is a global site selection and meeting procurement company. Also, three hospitality investment executives joined the firm as managing directors: Marc Magazine, Tom Baker and Dave Durbin.

The White Glove Group offers virtual meeting services at 27 hotels, resorts and conference centers managed by Dolce Hotels and Resorts. The company’s Hoteloquent virtual meeting service uses the Internet to help hotel group customers share onsite meetings with remote audiences.

Loews Hotels upgraded to MTech’s Hotel Service Optimization System (HotSOS) to improve customer service. HotSOS manages guest profiling, guest response, incident tracking, service recovery tracking, workflow automation, preventive maintenance, room inspections and MOD logs.

HVS Executive Search appointed Paige Brewer to global head of compensation consulting. In her new role, she leads HVS teams to deliver more detailed and insightful compensation management solutions.

Hotel industry veteran Mike Mason created Zentila, an online booking platform for hotel and meeting planners focused on short-term meetings.

Waterfront Hotel in Oakland, CA. deployed a networked EcoSmart energy management system developed by Telkonet Inc.

Ragatz Associates and Resort Equities created Ragatz Resorts Realty with a focus on boutique, commercial real estate brokerage. The firm deals exclusively with resort-oriented real estate, including resort hotels, whole-ownership projects, shared-ownership projects, private residence clubs and resort timeshare, as well as raw land suitable for resort development.

Premier Mounts, manufacturer of projector mounts, flat-panel mounts, carts and stands and accessories, signed Paradigm Strategic Marketing as its representative in Florida.

Sheraton Overland Park (KS) installed a new digital signage system from Four Winds Interactive. Signage, placed in several locations, replaces printed signs for meeting and event updates.

Meyda Lighting appointed Max Cohen to New England area sales manager. He continues as sales manager for upstate New York and the company’s factory showroom in Yorkville, NY.

Concept Amenities received Green Leaf designation from W.W. Grainger, a broad line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating products. The Green Leaf designation identifies products that help organizations run greener facilities.

iBAHN, teamed with Time Warner Cable Business Class to offer enhanced television and web entertainment for hotels. The service is debuting at the Dream Downtown in New York City.
