Automation Pays off for Enclave Guests
For the past few months, staff at the five-property Enclave Inn complex in Bridgehampton, NY have had time to take care of their guests. Before the Enclave went with innCenter, an Internet-based property management system from innRoads, they had to communicate in a more primitive fashion.
Before late 2006, Enclave's main office and the four individual properties often doubled up on reservation information because that information wasn't immediately accessible across the properties. Similar challenges applied to housekeeping and other staff scheduling.
Michael Wudyka, Enclave owner, recalls time spent telephoning and faxing reservation information. That's one reason he chose innCenter, a PMS accessible online and maintained by innRoad. Now, property managers and reservations agents can view inventory and room reservations and schedule staff across the properties.
According to an innRoad news release, Enclave, a complex on the eastern end of Long Island, has streamlined staff time and communication and needs fewer external IT consultants. In addition, since innCenter was installed, revenue and occupancy have grown. In the first quarter of 2007, revenue increased by 20 percent over the same 2006 period. Occupancy increased by 3.4 percent.
“It has allowed us to grow our company and plan for growth,” Wudyka says.
